    ONE POSSIBLE APPROACH:

    Day 1: Teacher reads the story to the class aloud.
    Lots of sound effects, please!

    Day 2: The story is read in class again, but by the children —
    with funny faces, or pirate-ish voices and actions. FUN!

    Day 3: Chat about possible endings for the story.

    Day 4: Children WRITE their own endings,
    and maybe add a drawing!

    Day 5: The last page of the story, and various endings,
    are read out. Fun! Fun!
    FUN!
